What else you need to use it
Worked out from Sony Interactive Entertainment’s own specifications and box contents for this model.
Check first
- Charging between streams. Battery: Up to 30 hours; a 10-minute charge gives up to 2 hours.
In the box
- A free USB port for its wireless adapter. The adapter is in the box: PlayStation Link (USB adapter in the box) to PS5, PC, Mac and PlayStation Portal; Bluetooth to phones and tablets; both at once.
When this model makes sense
- Play and chat on a PS5, PC or Mac without a cable, through the adapter in the box.
- Talk on its own microphone when you don’t have a separate one; check its sound in the microphone test first.
- Keep it charged before a long stream, and test that the stream audio and your voice reach OBS the way you expect.
Headphones and headsets sets it beside the other models here, and monitor audio without echo shows where to plug it in.

Check these conditions first
Not yet confirmed from Sony Interactive Entertainment’s documents: weight, impedance. We leave them out rather than guess.
For headphones, plug them into the headphone output of your microphone or interface, where you hear yourself with no delay, and set the volume before you go live. Turn off any second copy of your voice in software, or you hear yourself twice: the headphone test’s step 3 shows it.
What is included, and what may be missing

- PlayStation Link USB adapter
- Charging hanger (wall screws not included)
Place it in the complete setup
Every connection
- Webcam USB outUSB cable → A USB port on your computer
- Microphone USB outUSB cable → A USB port on your computer
- Microphone / interface headphone out3.5 mm or 6.3 mm headphone connection → Headphones (what you hear)
- Computer Ethernet portEthernet cable → router; your upload → Platform (check the stream preview)
- Wall socketThe maker’s power supply, or USB power → Computer and devices that need their own power
The diagram shows a simple USB setup. Find where the PlayStation PULSE Elite wireless headset goes, then follow each input back to what feeds it and each output on to where it goes. HDMI and XLR gear needs a capture card or audio interface between it and your computer; it doesn’t plug straight in the way this USB example does.
Headphones plug into the headphone output of the microphone or interface in the drawing. The headphone test checks left, right and whether you hear yourself twice, and the pre-stream checklist covers the rehearsal once it is wired.
