Your setup stays on this device

The setup builder saves the current equipment choices, connection settings and optional amounts in this browser’s local storage. The pre-stream checklist saves checked items locally. We do not create a user account or sync the setup between devices. Clearing this site’s browser storage removes these saved values.

A JSON export is created in your browser and downloaded to your device. It can include the inputs and amounts you entered. Printing sends the visible plan to your chosen print destination. Share these files only when you want to share their contents.

Site measurement

We use Plausible and Google Analytics to understand which pages and tools are useful. Measurement includes page visits and actions such as using a tool or following a product link.

Tool events use fixed action categories. They do not include budgets, entered prices, upload speeds, free-text device names, saved plans or contact messages.

Google Analytics is configured with analytics and advertising storage denied. This still allows measurement requests. Google receives connection information, such as your IP address and browser details. We send Google the page address without its query string, fragment or referring address.

Plausible provides aggregate reports about page visits, referring pages, time spent and scrolling. We send it the page address without its query string or fragment. Its service also receives your referring address, IP address and browser details.

Cookies, and visitors in the EEA and the UK

This site sets no cookies of its own. The setup builder and the pre-stream checklist use storage on your own device; it never leaves the device and clearing this site’s browser storage removes it.

Google Analytics runs with analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation all set to denied before it starts, so it stores nothing on your device and reads nothing back. That is why there is no consent banner: there is no storage to consent to. Plausible sets no cookies at all and does not follow you between sites.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the measurement above is aggregate counting. We hold no account, no profile and nothing that identifies you, so there is no profile to export, correct or delete. Use the contact page for any privacy question.

Third parties that can receive request data when you use this site: Google Analytics and Plausible as described above, Amazon when a product photograph loads or you follow a retailer link, and the manufacturer or retailer whose link you follow. If a display advertising network is added later, this page will name it and describe its consent mechanism before the first advertisement appears.

External destinations and images

Opening a manufacturer or retailer link takes you to that provider’s site and privacy practices. Retailer links here are affiliate links: they carry a tracking code so the retailer can attribute the referral and pay us a commission. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Product photos, when available, load from Amazon’s image host and link back to that product’s Amazon page, as the programme requires. The site does not host copies of those photographs or use them in permanent social-preview art.
