What will you use on stream?

Check the finished output

The preview and audio meters show only parts of the path. Record a short representative segment, stop it, then play it back as a viewer. Include movement, a louder sentence and every source you intend to use.

Change one thing at a time

When a check fails, isolate the source or connection responsible. Swap one cable, change one mode or mute one route, then repeat the same test. Several simultaneous changes make it harder to know what actually fixed the problem.

Prepare a small recovery plan

Keep a scene that does not depend on the main camera or game feed. Know which action mutes the microphone and which order reconnects power, capture and software. For a remote guest, agree on an alternate way to communicate if the main call drops.

Keep your checklist local

Checks are stored in this browser. Clearing site data removes them; another browser or device does not inherit them. Print the plan or download JSON if you want a copy that survives a browser reset. Nothing in this checklist transmits a stream key, device note or recording.

A passed rehearsal is not permanent

Repeat the checks after an operating-system update, driver or routing change, new hub, new camera mode or moved desk. Save the configuration that worked, but do not assume that yesterday’s physical and software path is still unchanged.

For the complete connection plan, use the streaming setup builder. You can keep older equipment in your plan.
