What the initial catalog covers
The bounded catalog contains 42 current equipment entities and five owner-only legacy entities. It covers stream controls, webcams, microphones, audio interfaces and mixers, capture devices and lights. It is not a claim to include every device a creator can use. Unknown equipment can still enter the builder as an unconfirmed path.
The catalog separates identity, connector shape, data protocol, inputs, outputs, host conditions, capture modes, display modes, included parts and source references. Category-specific fields may be empty because they do not apply; unresolved values remain null rather than becoming false, zero or compatible.
Currentness and unresolved facts
The initial observation date is September 7, 2026. Product generation, current versus legacy status and software requirements can change. A refreshed HTTP timestamp does not renew a specification’s observation date. When a source cannot be checked or sources disagree, the affected recommendation requires a review.
The Twitch numeric profile is deliberately unavailable until its current official table can be read and checked. The bandwidth tool does not replace it with a copied third-party value or YouTube’s rule.
Machine-readable outputs
The public versioned catalog includes product identities, published capability data, source IDs and explicit unknowns. Health reports the static dataset build state. OpenAPI describes the enabled endpoints. The text index points automated readers to the useful tool and explanation routes.
Your saved setup and personal amounts are not part of these outputs. Runtime image metadata and operational credentials are not included in the permanent catalog. This release does not advertise a CSV export or a public saved-build API.
Correct a model or connection
Use the correction form with an exact model and public supporting source. A changed generation is a new entity, not an alias for a different device. The methodology explains how those corrections affect compatibility conclusions.
