What else you need to use it
Worked out from Logitech G’s own specifications and box contents for this model.
You need
- A 3.5 mm headset socket for sound and microphone together. Sound and microphone share its one plug. Logitech G lists it for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, PC and Mac.
In the box
- A headset splitter for a PC with separate headphone and microphone sockets. The splitter cable is in the box.
When this model makes sense
- Hear the game and talk on one cable, from any device with a 3.5 mm headset socket.
- Use the microphone on the cable for chat or a quick stream; check its sound in the microphone test first, and add a separate microphone when your voice is the show.
- Check left and right and the volume with the headphone test before you go live.
Headphones and headsets sets it beside the other models here, and monitor audio without echo shows where to plug it in.

Check these conditions first
Not yet confirmed from Logitech G’s documents: impedance. We leave it out rather than guess.
For earbuds or a headset on one plug, use a headset socket that carries sound and microphone together, or a splitter where the computer has separate sockets, and set the volume before you go live. Turn off any second copy of your voice in software, or you hear yourself twice: the headphone test’s step 3 shows it.

The diagram shows a simple USB setup. Find where the Logitech G Astro A10 Gen 2 goes, then follow each input back to what feeds it and each output on to where it goes. HDMI and XLR gear needs a capture card or audio interface between it and your computer; it doesn’t plug straight in the way this USB example does.
Earbuds with a microphone on the cable plug into a 3.5 mm headset socket on your phone, Switch or computer, or into a splitter where the computer has separate headphone and microphone sockets. The headphone test checks left, right and whether you hear yourself twice, and the pre-stream checklist covers the rehearsal once it is wired.
