Before you choose

Elgato Facecam MK.2

The catch: Its fixed focus suits a consistent speaking position. Place the camera within the published focus range; choose autofocus if you regularly lean far forward or show objects close to the lens.

You need:

  • A USB 3 port (5 Gbps)

Check first:

  • A USB-C port on your computer

Insta360 Link 2

The catch: Leave clearance for the motorized camera to turn and use a stable mount. Choose the fixed Link 2C body if you only need a stationary seated frame.

You need: nothing beyond what is in the box.

What else each needs

Elgato Facecam MK.2

Facecam MK.2
A USB 3 port (5 Gbps)
A USB-C port on your computer
A tripod or arm with a 1/4-inch screw
  • You need: A USB 3 port (5 Gbps). A USB 2 port is too slow for it. USB-C is a plug shape, not a speed, so check the port itself.
  • Check first: A USB-C port on your computer. The cable in the box has USB-C at both ends. If your computer only has USB-A ports, you need a USB-C to USB-A cable rated for the same speed.
  • Optional: A tripod or arm with a 1/4-inch screw. For a position the monitor mount cannot reach.
